About This Product
By testing at several pressures and extrapolating the results to a total vacuum, where there is no convection, students separate the heat lost by radiation from the heat carried away by natural convection. The apparatus is used to find the emissivity of a surface, verify the Stefan-Boltzmann equation, and work with the Nusselt, Grashof, Prandtl and Knudsen numbers.
